Every year at YAPC, we try to address the rumors of Perl's imminent demise. But we're doing it wrong - by using the framing of our detractors ("Perl is dead!") we're reinforcing their framing, and contributing to the negative perception. By re-framing how we talk about the Perl community, we can be better ambassadors of the community's vibrant future.
