Wiki - Questions
Please feel free to ask any questions or post an answer to someone else's question.
Q: My assistant will be entering registration information, how do I allow her to do so short of giving her my username and password?
- Your assistant can pay for your registration through TPF's donations page.
Q: Is this a question?
- Yes, that was a question.
Q: Was that an answer?
- It could be construed as one, yes.
Q: I would like to register 6 people from my company -- can I do it for them or do they have to register themselves?
- You can use TPF's donations page, select 'contribute', and make a donation to 'YAPC Donations'. If they already have an account on the yapc site, I can see about getting the database owner to mark them as having paid. If they don't already have accounts, I would need them to register for an account on the site at some point.
Q: How do I find my user id?
- In the sidebar, right under the Wiki link, you'll see your user name. (If it says Register there, you need to use the Log In link below that first.) Hover the mouse over your user name and look at your browser's status bar. The number at the end (after /user/) is your user id.
Q: How can I contact other speakers? There's no email address listed!
- You may need to login to see an attendees e-mail address.
Q: How do I do anything other than browse when using the wireless Internet in the University Center?!
- Connect to the "YAPC" AP rather than the "UHWireless".
Q: I was told there was information about lost items on the Wiki, but I can't find it. Technically, that's not a question. Translation to question format is left as an exercise for the reader.
