Location: Houston Room (where the Parrot talks have been taking place)
This BOF will meet after the conclusion of a large series of Parrot- and Perl 6-related talks on the first day of YAPC::NA::2007. The goals of the BOF will include:
* Enabling Parrot developers who normally have only electronic contact with one another to meet F2F
* Enabling YAPC attendees who have not yet joined the Parrot project to meet its leaders and current members
* Providing attendees with a sketch of Parrot development objectives in the next severl months
* Sketching an agenda for Parrot-related work at the post-YAPC hackathon on June 28-29
* Deciding where we're going for dinner and beer

Parrot is a virtual machine designed to efficiently compile and execute bytecode for dynamic languages. Parrot currently hosts a variety of language implementations in various stages of completion, including Tcl, Javascript, Ruby, Lua, Scheme, PHP, Python, Perl 6, APL, and a .NET bytecode translator.
