Wiki - BBQ BOF
If you have to visit Texas, at least enjoy your stay ;-)
= OK, WE'RE DOING THIS TONIGHT.
6:30 tonight, meet at Oberholtzer, we have at least one car, plus my truck.
Someone said that Uri also was starting a herd tonight, if that's so, he is at the Hilton and has wheels. --Joey Kelly (mmlj4)
Ok, apparently here's the BBQ BOF info:
The restaurant is: Goode Company.
Meet up with either Uri at the Hilton, or Joey at Oberholtzer. at 6:30. Get there earlier, because we'd all like to leave at 6:30.
Quick directions:
Take the spur out of here, 45 north, go to 59 south, exit at kirby, go down kirby to 5109.
We're expecting to get back for games night. YAY!

We need a local to suggest places to get good BBQ. Ideas? --Joey Kelly (mmlj4)
No suggestion, but sure willing to see if Texas BBQ is as good as NC BBQ --Karsten Dahms
- "As good as" is pretty subjective. It's very different. I live at the confluence of Kansas City-, Memphis-, *and* Texas-style barbecue, and I'd have a hard time choosing an overall "best." At least, not without starting a fight - if you should decide you like something better than Texan-style, best not to mention it until you're safely out of Texas. --Karen Cravens (silver)
Just kidding I love BBQ, no matter what style :) --Karsten Dahms
This article was handed to me, it recommends a few places.
