Wiki - Parrot Virtual Machine Workshop 2009

The Parrot VM workshop will be held on the weekend before YAPC::NA, June 20-21, 2009, at the Urban Mountain Gathering Place. The workshop is dedicated to all things Parrot, and will include sessions on getting started with the Parrot Compiler Toolkit and NQP to implement new languages or contribute to existing ones, an introduction to PIR (one of Parrot's native languages), developing for mod_parrot, and a detailed look at some of the languages that run on Parrot, including Rakudo (Perl 6), Cardinal (Ruby), Pynie (Python), Tcl, and LOLCODE.

This is a pre-YAPC::NA event but it is not required that you attend YAPC|10 to attend.

We will have food brought in from Bistro to Go. (This is who catered PPW 08).

More information about Parrot can be found at http://parrot.org.

There will be Internet access and you are encouraged to bring your computer and become a Parrot hacker. There won't be a better time to jump in.
