Thanks to our sponsors

Posted to News on Friday, June 19, 2009

On behalf of the Perl community, the YAPC|10 organizers thank all of our sponsors, who made this event possible.  In these difficult economic times, it takes strong industry leaders to step forward and continue supporting the programming language that powers the world.  Likewise, it is important for the Perl community to support those leaders who are committed to supporting Perl.

During YAPC|10, please take a moment to stop by the Peter / McKenna / Wright room and say "Thank you" to our highest-level sponsors.  They will be on-site at various times throughout the conference.  Please take this opportunity to learn about what they do and find out who is hiring Perl developers.

And Topsy sees that people in every community are connected in a web of relationships, where each person influences other people to read, talk and think about things.

For YAPC|10, we are hoping to offer attendees a wide selection of pre- and post-YAPC courses and training opportunities. To that end, we invite all qualified Perl trainers and instructors to respond to our Call for Courses.

If you're a trainer or instructor, take a look because it's a sweet deal. In short, we'll take care of registration, food, and facilities – at cost – so you can focus on delivering great courses and training to your students.

Once you have a talk ready to go, submit your course and you should hear back from an organizer within 72 hours.

Not a professional speaker, but still looking to give a talk during YAPC? No problem, there's still time. Our regular call for talk proposals is still open.

Pricing for YAPC|10 has been announced.

Posted to News on Friday, March 13, 2009

The very first Yet Another Perl Conference was held in '99. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of that event, we are offering a special YAPC|10 admission price of $99 — but only for 10 days! After that, the price goes up to $125. The full pricing schedule is below:

10th Anniversary Special $99 Mar 14--24
Standard pricing $125 Mar 25--May 31
Late registration $150 After May 31

You asked for it, so here it is: corporate pricing. YAPC delivers an incredible amount of conference for an unheard-of low price. YAPC admission prices are so low, however, that in certain corporate environments, you might have a difficult time convincing the powers that be that YAPC is a "real" conference. If you work in such an environment, we offer the following, more seriously priced options, which are otherwise identical to the options above:

Corporate A $1000 Anytime
Corporate B $1500 Anytime
Corporate C $2000 Anytime
Corporate D $2500 Anytime
