If you design your application from the ground up with internationalization
in mind, you've probably considered the best way to handle users who live
somewhere outside your local area. Unfortunately, even the best
planning can leave you juggling the vagaries of Daylight Savings Time and
group collaboration across timezones.

How should you store your data? How should you handle your cron jobs?
Who was Arthur
Olson? Why do my tests fail after 8pm? Why is EST not a good timezone
name? I'll talk about all of these and more of the common confusions and
frustrations that rise from trying to get it right

Examples will be shown using modules such as Date::Manip, Date::Extract and the DateTime family of modules.
