Translating anything non-trivial from Perl 5 to Perl 6 quickly raises a lot of interesting issues. This talk takes several Perl 5 examples from the RosettaCode web page, makes the "straightforward" transformation from Perl 5 to Perl 6, and then, um, goes a little crazy with the examples, showing how they can be made more idiomatic.
Some people suspect Perl 6 is a huge freaking academic ivory-tower second-system monster. This talk aims to remove all doubts.
