In a post-apocalyptic world, where a cold nuclear wind is blowing over broken ruins, there will only be two things left: cockroaches, and JavaScript. Thanks to the web and the browser, JavaScript has won to a ridiculous extent. The language is so ubiquitous that it doesn't matter anymore that it has bad parts and not enough abstractions. The bad parts will be ignored and the abstractions built. The sooner we realize this, the better. This talk is about how to prepare you for that post-apocalyptic world.
