Volunteers

YAPC's are affordable and grass roots conferences. Volunteers make this possible. There are many volunteering opportunities for this YAPC. Please sign up! If you have any questions please contact Ryan Gerry as he is the volunteer coordinator.

YAPC::NA 2008 Volunteer Positions

Job: Registration Desk
How many needed and when: Four people from 7:45 AM until 9:30 AM on Monday. After that one person until Wednesday
Job Description: Register attendees and answer general questions.

Job: Auction Runner
How many needed an when: Three people during the auction on Tuesday evening
Job Description: Run won items to participants and collect money

Job: Session Assistant
How many needed and when: One person for every session on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Job Description: Make sure the speaker has everything he or she needs. Help the speaker with the sound system. Announce the speaker before they start and make any conference announcements. Hold up “time remaining” cards for the speaker. Make sure the speaker finishes on time if the room will be used immediately after his or her session.
