hi all blues fans,

i googled for eddie shaw in chicago and to my delight and surprise he is
playing this friday and saturday night at kingston mines on north
halstead. this is the area with most of the chicago blues clubs. i went
to one the last time and had fun. if anyone is interested in going let
me know.

i used to see eddie shaw and the wolf gang when they played in boston
about 25 years ago. i got to know the bass player and eddie's son who is
a wicked good guitar player. i think they are still with the band (or at
least i hope they are). i wouldn't be surprised if they remember me!

cover charge is $15 and the show starts at 9:30 with an opening
act. eddie is supposed to go on at 10:30 or so. this area is easily
accessible by the el (i will have to research the route again) and it
was a few blocks walk from the nearest station.

so call this a blues bof and let's hear some great chicago blues!
