The Solstice framework is a MVC-oriented Web development framework for Perl. Stressing scalability, embeddability of application components, and a state-machine driven navigation model, Solstice provides new approaches to creating Perl Web applications. Developed by a group at the University of Washington, this system has allowed a team four developers to create a substantial suite of applications without getting bogged down by maintenance. In this session, we will introduce the strengths and features of Solstice and follow by creating a small application to demonstrate the ease of developing
with Solstice.
