YAPC::NA 2014 • Orlando, FL

Many things to do after hours. We can hack, but before and after the conference days we already have hackathons. Maybe some social hacking, form alliances, discuss strategies to get that one module finally patched...

Bars are good places for that.

Places to visit.

Bars with big beer menu, including Belgian and other 'international' beers "that are not just ale, lager or pilsner":

  • Redlight Beer Parlour - many beers on draught, many more on bottle - 2.3 miles from venue: 10-min car drive, 45min walking
  • Oblivion Taproom - too many beers to mention here, also ciders (and some decent food, also "vegan-friendly snacks") - 4.1 miles from venue: 15-min car drive
  • The Gnarley Barley - lots of beers on draught and lots more on bottle, including Belgian ; also vegetarian food on menu - 8.5 miles from venue: 15min car drive
  • Yard House - not gonna count that beer menu, wow, some Belgian beers that even Wendy never heard of ; and a lot of vegetarian and vegan food here- 12 miles from venue: 18min car drive
  • House of Beer - 48 beers on draught, many more on bottle - 15 miles from venue: 25min car drive

No Belgian or international beer, but still, interesting beer and other drinks:

  • Cask & Larder - operate a brewery, sell their own beer, no Belgian / international beers ; interesting food - 3 miles from venue: 10-min car drive, 55min walking

They have beer and other stuff but are not really a bar:

  • The Geek Easy - comic book shop, bar, "comfort food" (meaning... not really the stuff you expect in a restaurant) - 8 miles from venue: 20-min car drive

Who's going (at least one night):
