One of the things I enjoyed most in Madison was the Bike Share program (http://madison.bcycle.com/) and biking with a group of conference participants. The folks who biked in from Chicago organized it, I think.

Austin doesn't seem to have a B-Cycle system like Madison. Any ideas about renting a bike in Austin? What's Austin like to bike? Safe? Considerate auto drivers? Dedicated bike paths or lanes?

Anyone else up for one or more organized bike rides? Any Austin locals interested in leading?
