This will be a smaller group dinner at a veg-friendly venue. I'm not sure what the limit will be, but probably c. 20 people.
While the ArrivalDinner will be veg-friendly this year, some folks may prefer a more intimate meal with a smaller group.
Dave Rolsky (autarch) is organizing this. He can be reached via email (autarch@urth.org) or by phone (612-208-7321). Feel free to text him at that number too.
Time and Place
We will meet at 7pm on Sunday, June 2 in the lobby of the Thomson Conference Center.
Attendees
- Dave Rolsky (autarch) - will have a car
- Mark Stosberg
- Thomas Sibley (trs)
- Karen Etheridge (Ether) (tentative; flight may cause delays)
- Nova Patch (patch)
- William Stevenson (wds)
- Mike Covington
- Jason Hardies
- Kenneth Graves (kag) Clay Pit is stumbling distance from the Hampton, so would try to meet the rest of you there.
Possible venues
All the options are vegan-friendly. Only some of them serve alcohol.
- The Clay Pit - Indian - 20 minute walk - Dave is leaning towards declaring this the place absent strong objections.
- Aster's Ethiopian - 10 minute walk
- Mellow Mushroom - Pizza, hoagies, and calzones - 20 minute walk
- Veggie Heaven - Vegetarian Chinese - 20 minute walk
- Koriente - Korean (but vegan-friendly, wow) - 30 minute walk - 15 minutes by bus
- Conan's Pizza - Deep dish pizza (with Daiya option) - 30 minute walk - 20 minutes by bus
There are a lot of other viable options but they're all even further away.
Dave may head over to Sweet Ritual, a vegan ice cream parlor, afterwards.
