Hackathons
We will be providing official hackathon space both 2 days before and after the conference at the Thompson Conference Center where YAPC will be held. Free Coffe, Wifi, and power will be provided. Come contribute to Perl!

Perl-NG Hackathon, for projects related to the "next generation" of Perl:
- Moe (Perl 5 "Ultra Modern", implemented in Scala)
- p5-mop (Moving the Meta Object Protocol from Moose into the Perl 5 core)
- Perl 6
- Specifications - some need work
- RosettaCode tasks to implement
- Rakudo (Perl 6 on Parrot and JVM via NQP)
- Niecza (Perl 6 on .NET/CLR)
- NQP (Not Quite Perl)
- Parrot (VM for Perl 6 and other dynamic languages)
- p2 (Perl 5 and Perl 6, implemented on Potion)
- Topaz (Perl 5 reimplemented in C++)
