Hackathons

We will be providing official hackathon space in Austin June 1-2 and June 6-7. This is 2 days before and 2 days after the conference at the Thompson Conference Center where YAPC will be held. Free Coffee, Wifi, and power will be provided. Come contribute to Perl!

See the schedule for which rooms. Be sure to take lots of pictures and post links to them on the wiki, as well as blog your progress copiously! We want to set a good precedent for the rest of the conference, so give the self-journalism some good momentum!

Moe (Perl 5 "Ultra Modern", implemented in Scala)
p5-mop (Moving the Meta Object Protocol from Moose into the Perl 5 core)
Perl 6

- RosettaCode tasks to implement
Rakudo (Perl 6 on Parrot and JVM via NQP)
Niecza (Perl 6 on .NET/CLR)
NQP (Not Quite Perl)
Parrot (VM for Perl 6 and other dynamic languages)
p2 (Perl 5 and Perl 6, implemented on Potion)
Topaz (Perl 5 reimplemented in C++). (Uhm. Who added this? You've got to be kidding. -msw)
